Emotional, mysterious, and a bit too large for its own aspirations, The Umbrella Academy’s third season continues to bring its fan favorites to the top of Netflix’s offerings thanks to more character development, lovable dynamics, and a memorable soundtrack worth turning up those speakers for. While the story may not reach the spectacular highs of its predecessor season, The Umbrella Academy hasn’t lost its class in its junior year. What works especially well is how the transition of actor Elliot Page was written into season 3. Luther finally finds some true love and happiness and Klaus discovers a whole lot of new things about himself – and his abilities. For the most part, everything works really well. Number 5 continues to try and clean up the mess created by, well, everyone. Also, Diego goes through a few changes, but in quite positive ways. The biggest changes in personality come from Allison who does go to a darker place. However, obviously, the core characters we’ve gotten to know during the first two seasons are still the same in most ways. In so many ways, nothing is the same this season. He also worked on a Netflix sci-fi series like Altered Carbon. Steve Blackman is the one who created the series and is the showrunner. More recently, he also created the Moon Night series for Disney+ and has many other great shows on his resume. Jeremy Slater is obviously still the one who developed this series for Netflix. In this timeline, he’s very much alive and a real jerk. Especially Ben, who all the members of The Umbrella Academy know as their dead brother. Honestly, most of the Sparrows aren’t that likable. If you remember season 1, the mothers of these children became pregnant and gave birth within minutes, so it was kind of hard to miss the birth of these children. And boy, did he! Meet the SparrowsĪ total of 43 children were born on this day. Since all members of the Umbrella Academy are born on the same day in 1989, he had plenty of time to make new plans. Of course, they had also managed to be directly implicated in not one but two apocalypses. “Father” simply chose a completely different group of “special children” after he was confronted with the Umbrella Academy in 1963. The Umbrella Academy is now the “Sparrow” Academy instead. To be fair, this new season of The Umbrella Academy comes with quite a few changes since we’re in a very different timeline altogether.
